About Us |
 Carmelina Corrado and Corissa Turkel will utilize what their background and experience has taught them. Having worked for similar centers in the past, they now have the ability to take what they learned and incorporate it into Once Upon A Time. They have the opportunity to change what they, parents, and kids disliked about those places. They have the chance to make a place that is motivating for kids and parents to come to. Carmelina Corrado is a certified teacher (PreK-6) and has a degree in Child Study. Working in the public school system for four years will allow her to be able to successfully prepare children, during the separation (drop-off) classes, for Kindergarten readiness. In addition, since Carmelina had taught in a number of different grade levels, she has prepared students for, and administered, state and district-wide exams. This gives her the experience she needs to successfully conduct tutoring sessions. Carmelina also worked in a day care and camp program for three summers. This relevant experience makes her skilled in working with children in the primary ages. As a result, Carmelina is acquainted with providing structured and developmental activities for infants. Her background and experience permit her to create safe, caring, and fun environments where all people, especially the children, feel comfortable. Additionally, Carmelina Corrado has received a degree and certificate in Educational Computing. Corissa Turkel has a degree in Management of Technology, and had worked as a Treasury Analyst before tying her dream together of her love for business and children. She then went back to school for her Master’s in Education (PreK-6th). She is currently in the midst of achieving her graduating goal. Concurrently attending school Corissa worked in a well known daycare and learning center. She concentrated and lead the newborn/infant room. Corissa often assisted and/or lead other classrooms ranging from toddler to preK ages. Corissa provided care, reliability, and consistency to the children she looked after. Additionally, Corissa has much knowledge and experience about human wellness, which she will execute at Once Upon A Time. She is well informed about healthy and non-toxic products, from a International Wellness Company, which she will educate parents on. Studies have shown that children react differently when exposed to toxins, and so Corissa will assure parents that our facility is toxic-free. |
